Amazon River Dolphin

The Amazon River Dolphin (Boto) are beautiful creatures. As with most dolphins they create a sense of relaxation and inspiration. Its a freshwater dolphin, and begins with a dark grey color but then turns into its very unique pink color but can move back to a whitish color at maturity. These color changes can make people think they are seeing an albino dolphin but it is the distinctive colors of hte Amazon River Dolphin. See this link within the Dolphin Inspirations Site if you haven't already.

Its been called bouto, boto, or even boufu but like all freshwater dolphins it is endangered. Because of its pink color the Brazilian name for this is Red Dolphin.
